When: 18:00 on the 20th of March 2011.
Present: Lee (Pasty) Harvey, Rory Jenkins, Mike Perry, Denzil Williams, Dave Sobey, Mark Graeme, Steve Townsend, Ted Moir, John Dolan & Dave Harley.

Results
Since the last AGM Denzil & Lee have competed in racing with Denzil finishing 2nd in the UK, Lee 4th.
Suki Robertson has won the womens kite landboarding and come 4th on the water.
In the waves there were 9 KKC members at the Ireland Wavemasters, which was won by KKC member Will Bennett.

Treasurer Update
Mike, is resigning as treasurer. To be replaced by Loz (Lawrence Smith).
The bank has a balance of £1073.93.
A balance of at least £500 is needed to pay the Hayle Harbour fees during the year.

Secretary Update
Rory reported that the most recent BKSA KKC membership list had the club as having 116 members.

Perranporth Beach Rep
Rory reported that having a club helped deal with the council and some problems with kitesurfers not sticking to the kite zones.

Par Beach Rep
Denzil reported that the Student Kitesurf Association Sliderjam event coincided with no wind, but was still a fun well publicised event in and around Par. This event was run by SKA with Denzil providing contacts and help with landowners. The sliders have been left at Par, for use by KKC members.

Bluff Update
Steve & Ted said that things were a long way on from the ban that was put in about 4 years ago, by the then harbour master.
We now have a simple rule to avoid boat traffic and to have a pass in order (like other clubs that use the Hayle Harbour water) to prove insurance and a commitment to obey the rules. This is a massive strong result for the club. Having a club was key to this success. Ted Moir helping was fundamental to working with Steve in obtaining this result. There is now good local signage.

Marazion Update
Loz (via Lee) reported that there was talk of dropping the kite zones this year.
This was not yet confirmed.

Constitution Changes
Rule 21 (copy below) is being dropped.
"21. At the Annual General Meeting each year two of the Full and Family members shall retire in order of election or seniority. In the case of equal seniority the order of retirement shall, failing agreement between the members concerned, be determined by lot. Members retiring under this rule shall not be eligible for re-election to the Committee until the Annual General Meeting next following the meeting at which they retire."

We need of a Bluff rep, someone who regularly kites at the Bluff and is passionate to keep access.
All other main kitesurf beaches can also have a rep so anybody that wants to step up should get in touch.

KKC Events
The wave event is still on hold for the conditions.
There is a race event being organised by Pasty Adventures on the 18th & 19th of June at Penzance. KKC members will have free entry to the afternoon long distance races that has loads of prizes.
The BKSA Wavemasters is going to run an event in Cornwall, October 17th to 22nd.
There are plans to try and link in with the Marazion "extreme events" day that is being planned.
There may be a KKC team Vs Joint Services team (Army, Navy & Airforce) event.

Website and Facebook Group
The Website may get a look and feel update.
The site traffic is 9 to 26 unique site visitors a day.
The Facebook site is to be set so that you don't have to be approved to join this group.
It is hoped that Facebook, email etc. will evolve as a good source of comments and suggestions on how the club can improve.

Socials
It was decided to try and run a mid summer social at the Sandsifter, when something good is on. If the turn out is good and everyone wants more we will then run an Autumn social and an Xmas bash!

All present were reminded to renew their KKC membership when they renew their BKSA. To spread this to other, and, as ever, to help with the continual threat of access to our beaches.
